There is a regular bus and taxi service from Edinburgh International Airport, situated to the West of the city. The Airport Bus takes around 30 minutes and terminates next to Waverley train station.
Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, on both the East Coast and West Coast Main Lines, is 10 minutes’ walk from the College. Click here for more information on services and routes.
Inter-city bus services terminate at the Edinburgh Bus Station (formerly called St. Andrew Square Bus Station), 15 minutes’ walk from the College and situated next to the St. James Centre shopping centre. Buses from Princes Street (stops on the side of the street lined by shops- [north]) are very frequent. Services passing the College include numbers 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 31 and 33 - click here and here for route maps.
The nearest exit from the City Bypass (A720) is the Straiton junction. From here go on the A701 towards the City Centre. Continue straight, through Liberton, for around 4km.
At the traffic lights, with the with the Cameron Toll shopping centre to your right and the Travelodge straight ahead, take the second exit on to Craigmillar Park (still the A701). Carry straight on for around 2km. The road changes name and becomes Nicolson Street, where the College is situated. Turn left into Nicolson Square or right into Hill Place (straight opposite) to park.
The nearest exit from the City Bypass (A720) is the Sheriffhall junction. From here follow the signs for the A7 Old Dalkeith Road towards the City Centre and the Hospital. Continue straight, past the Hospital, for around 5km.
At the roundabout just after the Toyota car dealership (on your right) and the Cameron Toll shopping centre (on your left), take the third exit on to Dalkeith Road (still the A7). Carry straight on for approx. 4km. Turn left into West Richmond Street, then right onto Richmond Place. The campus is on Hill Place, to your left.
There is metered parking available in Hill Place, Richmond Place and other surrounding streets, with more spaces in Chambers Street. The closest public car park is adjacent to the Mosque in Nicolson Square. There are other car parks nearby at Bristo Place and the Pleasance. Guests of Ten Hill Place Hotel may park in its car park.
